About Tom 
Rep. Tom Killion uses his wealth of experience from county and state government, as well as his knowledge in the private sector, to represent the people of the 168th Legislative District in Delaware and Chester counties.

Killion began his service in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on June 30, 2003, when he was sworn in to fill the seat of former Speaker of the House Matthew Ryan.

As part of his legislative duties, he serves as the Republican Deputy Whip. Killion serves on the Appropriations, Human Services, Insurance, Liquor Control and Rules Committees. Killion also serves as the chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Impact and Infrastructure. He is also a member of the Republican House Task Force for Health Care Reform.

Before being elected to the House, Killion founded InR Advisors Inc., a pension advisory firm, and remains a partner with the firm. He is the former chairman of the Delaware County Council where he served from 1992 through 2000, and served as U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon’s campaign chairman from 1990 to 2003. His work in government began more than 20 years ago when he worked as a fraud investigator for the state treasurer.

He is a graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School and Penn State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Killion has served on numerous boards to help our local communities. They are: The Bernadine Center, CADES, Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, Chester Heights Planning Commission, Delaware County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Delaware County Domestic Abuse Project, Delaware County Solid Waste Authority, Delaware County Soil & Water Conservation District, Delaware County Young Republicans, chairman, Elwyn Board of Directors, First Tee Program, George W. Hill Correctional Facility, Greater Philadelphia Marketing & Tourism Council, Healthy Communities Initiative, chairman, Penn State Delaware County Advisory Board, Rachel Kohl Community Library, president, Rocky Run YMCA, Roto Craft Center for Excellence Board, Southeastern PA Chamber of Commerce, Southeastern PA Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Southeastern PA Transportation Authority, The Walden School, and the Valley Brook Homeowners Association.

In Harrisburg, Killion is working on several issues including medical malpractice and open-space initiatives, but his key issue has been property tax reform.

In 2011, Killion received Legislator of the Year awards from the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society and the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Previously, he received Penn State Brandywine’s 2010 Outstanding Alumni Award, the 2010 SPCA Animal Welfare Leadership Award, the 2007 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Helen Sigel Wilson Volunteer Recognition Award, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce’s 2006 & 2004 Legislator of the Year Award, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce’s 2004 Free Enterprise Award and the 2003 American Red Cross David Henderson Humanitarian Award.

The 168th District includes Media and Rose Valley boroughs as well as Edgmont, Middletown and Thornbury townships, parts of Newtown, Upper Providence and Nether Providence townships, and Westtown Township in Chester County.

Killion lives in Middletown with his wife Eileen and his daughters Brittany and Rebecca. He is a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
